NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NTSE)

To identify brilliant students at the end of class 10 th and to give them financial assistance towards getting the best possible education in India so that their talent may develop and they may serve the discipline as well as the country, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will hold a written test for those appearing in class 10 th public examination provided they have passed a similar examination conducted at State Level.

STATE LEVEL EXAMINATION

All students appearing in class 10th in any type of recognized schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas, will be eligible to appear at the State Level Test from the State in which the institution is located.

Since the State Level Tests shall be held during October/November , the students must be studying in class 10th in any type of recognized school (including Navodaya Vidyalayas) at the time of appearing in the State Level Test. The States may, if deem necessary, prescribe eligibility conditions and/or examination fee.

NATIONAL LEVEL EXAMINATION

Only sponsored candidates by State on the basis of State Level screening test shall be eligible to appear at the National Level Examination conducted by NCERT.

The written examination shall consist of,

Part I –General Mental Ability Test (GMAT) and will be 100 multiple choice items each carrying one mark.

Part II–Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) will consist of 100 multiple choice items – 40 in Science, 40 in Social Science and 20 in Mathematics.

There shall be no prescribed syllabus for the above said tests. However, the standard of questions and /or items shall be confirmed to be the level of class 10 th public examinations.

Candidates shall be called for interview on the basis of their merit. They shall be informed through registered post. The final results (awards) shall be declared on the basis of the National Level written tests and the interview will be strictly on the basis of merit.

  The successful candidates will be awarded scholarships subject to fulfillment of certain conditions upto Ph.D. stage.

 NATIONAL LEVEL EXAMINATION TRAINING CONDUCTED AT MCE

NTSE course that MCE (MANIPAL CAREER EXCELLENCE) is conducting is a two year training program.

About this course :
1. Recommended for students who have completed 8th and are going to 9th.
2. Students must have an average of 70% or above in mathematics and science.
3. THIS COURSE WILL HELP STUDENTS TO DO WELL IN SCHOOL.
4. 8 books will be taught over 400 hours of training.
5. You start with FOUNDATION BOOK 1 (earlier this book was named as Teen 1)
6. You continue with FOUNDATION book 2, Book 3, Book 4, Book 5 and Book 6.
7. The last two books are named, PREPARTION BOOK 1 and PREPARATION BOOK 2.
8. MICE is charging Rs.100 per book for FOUNDATION BOOK 1 to 4.
9. MICE is charging RS.125 per book for FOUNDATION BOOK 5, 6 and PREPARATION BOOK 1 & 2.
